Everyday life / Weekly plan
Plan two difficult meals: a simple everyday plan
Two clear occasions give you something practical to improve. Write down the obstacle, prepare your own food and leave room for a backup and review.
Read the guide
Start with two occasions. Identify the obstacle, prepare a main choice and a backup, and test them for a week. Then review what actually happened.
Choose two occasions that tend to be difficult
“I need to eat better” is hard to prepare for. “Tuesday's work lunch often has no plan” gives you a day, a place and something to arrange. Add another occasion, such as getting home late on Friday.
Choose occasions where a small practical change can be tried. Ordinary food, leftovers, prepared options and ComFoo can all be included. The plan should arrange food and promises no change in energy, focus or personal development.
Turn the obstacle into a practical task
| Obstacle | Make it specific | Prepare one thing |
|---|---|---|
| Time | Which step gets missed, and when? | Move a possible step to before the occasion. |
| Storage | Where is refrigeration or other proper storage unavailable? | Arrange it or choose another format. |
| Shopping | What is missing when the occasion arrives? | Check at home and write down what needs arranging. |
| Idea | No choice is made at the time. | Decide on the main choice and backup in advance. |
The main choice and backup need to work differently
The main choice is what you want to do when the day goes as planned. The backup should work when an important requirement is unavailable. Two options that both need the same thing you often lack make a weak backup.
If a packed lunch is the main choice but refrigeration is uncertain, the backup needs other suitable storage. If powder is the backup, water and a container must still be available. An empty backup is a task to address; the template does not automatically insert a product.
Two worked examples
| Occasion | Obstacle | Main choice | Backup | Before the day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday, work lunch | Food is forgotten on a late morning. | Leftovers in a lunch box when refrigeration works. | Food with suitable storage that does not require the same refrigeration. | Pack when the leftovers are ready; check the location. |
| Friday, getting home late | Nothing is decided at home. | A planned ordinary dish. | Another simple cupboard option. | Check ingredients, preparation and equipment before Friday. |

Use the template above to note your plan on paper or in a document. Write when the occasion occurs, which obstacle you want to solve and what you will prepare.
Check what the food requires
- Water: is clean water available if the food needs mixing?
- Storage: do transport and location match the labelling?
- Heat: does the food need cooking or heating?
- Equipment: are containers, lids, spoons and anything else needed available?
- Afterwards: how will utensils be cleaned, and what happens to leftovers?
The format guide reviews the resources. The lunch calculator calculates your own prices and packaging. The breakfast guide helps with morning formats. Each detailed guide has its own purpose.
Review: worked, change or try something else
Did the main choice happen? Was the backup needed? Which step was missing? Note it after the occasion before planning more days. If something did not work, it need not become a new rule for the whole week; change the specific preparation.
No test week or time saving of our own is reported here. Measuring time requires a baseline and all steps, including shopping, transport and washing up. A plan feeling easier is an individual impression, not a result for everyone.
Questions about the weekly plan
Do both occasions need to be ComFoo?
No. Your main choices and backups are open text fields.
What happens without a backup?
The box is shown as a task to fill in. No product is inserted.
Must the entire week be planned?
No. Start with two occasions and review them before expanding the plan.
