Albin Sandell had a simple idea: to make nutritious food easier, smarter and more sustainable. The project was called Framtidsmat at the time and launched through the SweJoy brand. Suppliers were found and the project could begin, but creating complete meal replacements made in Sweden remained a plan that the circumstances did not allow.
The goal was clear from the start: To create the tastiest, most carefully considered and environmentally friendly product on the market. Naturally, it would also be produced in Sweden.
The ambition was high, and the workload even higher. It quickly became clear that this was not a project to pursue alone.
So three people from Brösarp joined in, bringing invaluable experience and expertise: Anders Cederberg, Anders Albäck and Bengt Åkesson.
Once everything was finally in place, things moved quickly. Samples were sent out. Feedback was collected. Adjustments were made, and then ComFoo launched.
What had taken over a year to build suddenly felt like 30 days, but the foundation was solid. And the vision was bigger than ever.
Over time, ComFoo started finding its place in people's everyday lives.
As a practical alternative rather than an experiment. Passing 1,000,000 meals served was proof of all the work behind the scenes. Of all the late nights, all the tests and every decision to avoid compromise.
One million meals means one million occasions when someone saved time, made their day easier or chose a smarter way to eat.
And at the same time, it became clear:
Our journey has only just begun – and we want you to be part of it. Try a Swedish meal replacement made with care.
