A break and a lunch are different occasions. Start with which one you want to arrange. Then check quantity, contents and what is available where you will eat. A small amount of powder does not automatically become a complete meal.

Snack or meal – what is missing from the day?

A short break between meals may need something different from a lunch that would otherwise be missed. Words on a bag, bottle or bar give no serving size suitable for everyone. Start with what you already eat, what the occasion should solve and the real quantity the product refers to.

Ordinary food, ComFoo and other formats are possible options. The guide compares practical routes and names no “healthiest” choice. It calculates no personal calorie quantity.

Read the serving size before comparing

A value per 100 g is not automatically the contents of the package or the amount you plan to use. Check whether added liquid and extras are included. The nutritional declaration guide shows the calculation.

Mathematical example: 400 kcal per 100 g of powder gives 200 kcal at 50 g. This describes the powder's content. It does not determine whether the occasion is a snack or meal for you, and milk or other food is additional.

The table shows questions needing answers. It does not approve every product in a format. Food also needs to fit the break: find where you will eat and what needs doing before and after.

Calculate the price for the quantity you use

For powder, divide the bag price by the quantity you get. Consumption and purchases are different: a whole bag may need buying even when you plan only a few occasions, leaving powder for later. Additions and shipping also need the right basis.

The work lunch calculation calculates the week. Here, the first question is which break you will arrange. Do not let a low price per small serving hide that you are comparing different quantities or need other food alongside it.

A main choice and a backup

  1. Decide on the next occasion and location.
  2. Choose a possible food solution and read its labelling.
  3. Arrange the water, refrigeration, utensils or heat needed.
  4. Choose a backup that works if an important requirement is unavailable.
  5. Note what was eaten and what should change.

You can work on two recurring occasions in the weekly plan. This gives a first task without changing the rest of your routine at the same time.

Questions about food during breaks

Is a smaller shake always a snack?

It depends on the quantity, product and how the occasion fits your own food. The declaration gives nutritional content, not a universal snack size.

Can a bar replace a packed lunch?

Check intended use and actual serving. The format does not prove the same contents.

What should I check when choosing a snack?

The matrix, checks and links are available in ordinary HTML and can be printed.
