Short answer: ComFoo previously announced the milestone of one million meals sold. This article puts that historical figure in context, shows what a serving count means and helps you find your own way to use ComFoo.
One million meals – a chapter in ComFoo's story
A product used in everyday life involves many smaller steps: an idea, a recipe that needs to work, a pack and people choosing to try it. In ComFoo's earlier million-meal article, we described one million meals sold as one of the company's early goals.
The archive article was first published on 19 March 2022. That is the article's date, not a record of exactly when each individual serving was sold. Our company timeline later includes a section dated 2025 with the heading ‘1,200,000+ meals sold’. These figures are presented here as dated company history, not as a counter of today's sales.
For us, the milestone is an opportunity to thank those who tried the product, returned and gave feedback. If you are considering your first purchase, other questions are more immediate: which flavour to try, what the product contains and when it needs to work for you.
What counts as a meal in a figure like this?
Servings sold, orders and customers are different measures. A bag can contain several servings, and the same person can order more than once. A serving count therefore does not show how many people use the product or how often.
| Measure | What it describes | What it does not show |
|---|---|---|
| Servings | An amount of product calculated using a specified serving basis. | The number of unique people or how large their meals were. |
| Packs | The number of bags or other units. | The same number of servings if bag sizes and recipes differ. |
| Orders | The number of completed purchases according to a chosen definition. | How many servings were included in each purchase. |
| Customers | People or customer accounts according to a chosen definition. | How often the product was used or what the customer thought. |
Original and Sport have different pack sizes in today's catalogue. Older product versions may have different measurements. A simple calculation example can show the scale, but it should not be used to reconstruct historical sales.
One million servings in a calculation example
A worked example: one million illustrative servings of 100 grams equal 100,000 kilograms of powder. With 2,000 grams in each assumed bag, that means 50,000 bags. This is simply multiplication and division of chosen measurements. It is not a measured number of bags in ComFoo's historical orders.
From a big number to a small everyday choice
You do not need to start with a large plan. Choose an occasion that is usually difficult to arrange: lunch between two meetings, breakfast before an early trip or a backup when the food at home does not fit your plan. Then compare it with the alternative you would actually have chosen.
- Choose the occasion. Write down when and where you want to use the food.
- Check the practical details. Is there clean water, a suitable container and somewhere to clean it?
- Choose a flavour and read the contents. Check the current ingredient list and quantity for the same product version.
- Follow up your own trial. Note flavour, texture, effort and what was actually eaten.
This gives a better answer about whether ComFoo works for you than a historical sales count. The everyday plan for two occasions helps you arrange a main choice and a backup, with room for ordinary food and your own preferences.
Volume is not a climate result
A sales figure is not enough to say how much carbon dioxide, energy or food waste has been saved. That requires a separate method and a relevant comparison. One million servings do not automatically mean one million restaurant lunches replaced or one million portions of leftovers avoided.
We therefore publish no estimated climate savings in this revision. To track your own use, note how much you buy, use and have left. This makes planning more concrete without giving it an unsupported environmental rating.
Frequently asked questions about the million-meal milestone
Is one million meals the same as one million customers?
No. Servings, packs, orders and customers are different measures. One person can buy many servings and place several orders.
Does the article show how many meals ComFoo has sold today?
No. It describes a historical company event. The calculator uses your illustrative quantities and does not retrieve sales statistics.
Can I calculate the amount in my own bag?
Yes, as a mathematical illustration based on grams per serving and grams per bag. Check those measurements on the label. This calculation shows neither personal food needs nor order history.
